Computer
Apart from the six exclusive computer labs, we have 30 computers installed in the English Language Laboratory and 60 computers in multi media laboratory, 10 systems in Microprocessor lab, 30 in DSP lab and 5 systems in Cad lab. This year we have established a state of the art Computer laboratory having 120 computers, exclusively for First year students with all essential supporting software. Now there are 500 computer systems with relevant licensed softwares.

Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most demanding fields in the society as the Automation is driving every function of the society to be automated and to reduce the manual Subjectivity and to improve the reliability. Therefore, the educational systems are required to provide the necessary platforms for exposing the students to the above societal needs with in the boundaries of the system. V.B.I.T is forging a head in this direction by providing all the necessary infrastructure, platforms, and the languages for the software developments to vig. Scientific, Industrial, Commercial, Financial, Banking etc. various applications. The institute has excellent computer labs for the software development, for Image processing Applications, DSP Applications etc. These are in addition to the mandatory laboratories prescribed by the University. More than 500 computer systems with appropriate soft wares are made available to the students for the learning process and also for the development. All the laboratory exercises are monitored and guided on continuous basis by the qualified faculty through out. We advocate and enforce the appropriate skills for the students in CS & IT departments.

The laboratories are open for all the students and faculty. They may make use of the applications installed in the computers and browse internet during the laboratory hours or when they have no classes.

We will continue to educate our students so that they will be the innovators of the future. We believe that by continuing at the forefront of computing and computer science research we will both advance the field itself and ensure that our teaching is forward-looking and of high quality, so that our students will meet the emerging technical, economic and social challenges that global-scale information and communications technologies bring.



All the laboratories are monitored by trained laboratory assistants under the guidance of experienced system administrator.

Dr. Raj Kumar CEO, HR FOOT PRINTS along  with his  team  member  Ms.Sarada, Ex-Training In-charge of TCS have undertaken a one day work shop on personality development and career guidance. Various team based games, plays e.tc. It also contained Job Description round, Mock Interview. The students of the different electives of MBA and also different years of MCA have utilized the opportunity.

Mr. M.M.Sriram, Chairman, Industrial Committee, FAPCCI, Managing Director, Scarlet Industries Pvt. Ltd., & Samooha Industries, Hyderabad and the Management of VBIT on the occasion of the valediction of Value Added Programs for II-II and III-II from Training & Placement Cell. Book release (course material) was a part of the program for the Value Added Programs. 

21st  March, 2012 

An  Initiative  was  taken  by  MBA  Department  in  encouraging  the  students  to  analyze  the  Union and  Railway Budget  and  make a  professional  power  point  presentation  to  all  the students. Heads of other departments also have attended. Teams from both 1st and 2nd years have been formed by voluntary mode and they have released a book with very good information.

III B.Tech, EEE students visited Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (K.T.P.S) located at Paloncha, Khamman

District. Total 03 faculty and 40 students visited.

 

1.      13th  March, 2012  

The  co-ordinator  of  Eenadu  wing  Mr. Purshotam  has  enlightened  the  students  of  MBA  on the  various  aspects of  Right To Information Act. It was attended by both 1st and 2nd year students. The  programme  was  an  interactive  programme  and all the  students  have  made use of the same. Local Eenadu staff reporter  Narsing  also accompanied  the  co-ordinator. Chairman, principal, vice-principal and  MBA faculty  also have  attended  the  programme.
