Dr. G.Amarendar Rao, a dynamic and efficient teacher and administrator with an eye for detail and penchant for academic and personal discipline, is the Principal of the Institution taking it forward to higher levels of accomplishments and effectiveness.

In the video Dr. G Amarendar Rao focuses on how the institute has grown since its establishment in the year 2004 by Swami Vivekananda Educational Trust which is managed by Dr N. Goutham Rao, Dr G. Manohar Reddy and Dr K.K.V. Sharma. He says, “he is very fortunate to have such eminent leaders as management, who with their missionary zeal have successfully transformed VBIT into a model Technical Institution”. The institute has got autonomous status from UGC with NAAC “A” grade accreditation and all B.Tech programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).The institute has R&D cell which is headed by Dr. Gopa Dutta who herself is the principal investigator of projects in the field of Space Physics sponsored by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Department of Science and Technology (DST),Govt.of India.
