Team Chitrika VBIT was successful in conducting VBIT’s first ever Photography Exhibition cum Competition on 9th January, 2020. The first round, Photography Competition was an online contest open to all the students of VBIT to send in their entries based on the given themes.
The themes for the competition were as follows –
- Street Photography 2. Social Cause
All the students of VBIT were eligible to participate in the online photography competition. The participants sent their entries. Out of all the entries received, the best clicks were selected and filtered according to the originality of the photographs. This was followed by the final round, Photography Exhibition wherein the top 15 photographs were shortlisted and exhibited. The top 15 photographs were displayed as frames and were evaluated in the final round of judgement process. Mr. Prakash Tuljapurkar, a renewed photographer graced the event as the Chief Guest. He imparted knowledge on the various aspects of photography and explained the students about the camera angles and dimensions. He also showcased some of his best clicks to the participants and shared several tips on photography. The event concluded with the prize distribution by Mr. Prakash Tuljapurkar sir. The winners were awarded with exciting cash prizes worth 6000/-
