With the increasing tendency ensure the finished products to the corporate.  VBIT and HDFC joined their hands together in GEP@IT.  The GEP@IT programme envisioned a long-term association and is considered an investment for maintaining the academics of middle class families.  This programme ensures equal opportunities for all the students who get enrolled in this programme.

VBIT’s foray into the education sector will be undertaken through a wholly owned subsidiary which will serve as a platform to provide a portfolio of education.

HDFC is a trusted brand name and will aim to attract the best of talent from the education sector as well as collaborate with groups of talented people and institutions who share similar values with a strong commitment to make a difference.

Credila, a part of HDFC which is India’s first and only fully dedicated education loan company.  Towards playing a pioneering role in the overall development of the graduating students of VBIT proposed competency mapping required by IT Sector.  Thus the students of CSE & IT were oriented towards taking up of these programmes.

After almost a year long discussions to launch a pilot programme on this competency making.   Almost 300 students were assessed, 26 students were filtered to take up this programme. With  the industry collaboration syllabus is carefully designed and is validated by professionals from IT industry.

Academic training for 250 hours and 750 hours of online learning and facilitation is provided to the students.  Apart from covering the aspects of application of technology, and domain, the programme also covered softskills.

Industry interaction was a part of the curriculum, Industry experts from Polaris, iCalibrator and Cognizant were arranged.

The Evaluation pattern was continuous, online as well as offline.  After successful completion of this project the students were awarded the course completion certification.

Based on the vigour and sustainability of this programe and the branding of HDFC, VBIT has  promoted and almost 7 students were placed with high, job offers with minimum package of 2.8 to 4.2 p.a.
